Outside and Home Made Chipotle Lunch

October 31, 2014

Sitting inside all day for work is simply no bueno.

So get outside and breathe some of that fresh air. Especially if you work in a big building.

I often bring my own “Chipotle”  lunch made at home, sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Many days I will kick back a bit after eating and just take a nice half ass 10 minute nap. I’m not really asleep but almost. It’s a great way to re-charge a bit especially after a busy morning and get yourself realigned to attack the afternoon.

The metal/alloy table makes for a bit of a strange contrast but you get the idea.

Rice, some black beans, left over pork from my BO-Ssam , a bit of avocado, drizzle of hot sauce and BOOM , lunch is together. Oh forgot the fresh cilantro I tossed in there too.

Not too big a porton, just right. Good fuel for the engine and plenty of Resistant Starch from the pre-made rice and beans. I give it a quick zip in the office microwave before walking outside.

Do you have good “tools” at home to pack lunch? If not, invest in some. It makes the process a whole lot easier.

Do I have to point out how much you will save your hard earned money by bringing lunch? $350-$450 per month is what most people spend monthly buying lunch everyday in most big cities across the US.. Pretty crazy isn’t it?

Enjoy your weekend, kiss your spouse/partner a lot, hug/play with the kids, walk the dogs, cook something yummy, cuddle up on the couch for a good movie or a good book…. you know…..the simple stuff 🙂

My wife made a big batch of red beans today. I’ll be eating them with rice and potatoes this week.
