Ankle Update
Yup, it’s broken. Went for some X-rays and I broke my fibula and tibia.
Playing tennis something like this can happen

Anybody have any experience with surgery like that? Expecting perhaps a screw in my fibula.
Onward and upward.
BE HAPPY

Oh NO!! That sucks, Marc. OK, reiterating; it was for a good cause. Glad you went in and had it checked.
Per the advice of some people in the know…..they said to see how it feels 2 to 3 days from the day it happened. X-rays done….getting in to see orthopedic guy not so easy .
If they are giving you the runaround you could try making noise about how much it hurts. There are often medical policies in place stating that every effort should be made to ameliorate patient’s pain. Best of luck, Marc.
I broke both my fibula and tibia when I was hit by an SUV riding my motorbike from work to the gym. Considering I thought my time had come when I was about to be hit, I got off pretty lightly, if still very painfully!
They put a rod in the leg and it healed up nicely after several months. I was playing soccer for a couple of teams at the time, and, once I’d healed and made my “comeback”, I found the rod started to bother me, so I had it removed, which is an option, although it’s another surgery and not really recommended.
Best of luck with your injury and here’s to a speedy recovery,
Ray

Thank you for the feedback. I will say the pain is intense at times…
Surgery is on Monday.
I wasn’t quite certain if the screws and plate will be eventually removed.
Thanks for the good wishes. Going to take a look at your site now.
